Israeli security guards have whisked away French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert during a departure ceremony at Tel Aviv’s Ben-Gurion Airport after a border policeman committed suicide, an Israeli police spokesman said .

Police say there was no assassination attempt on Sarkozy. Israeli radio reported an Israeli soldier on the perimeter of the farewell festivities shot himself.

Television footage shows bodyguards hustling Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni-Sarkozy into their airplane while Olmert is escorted quickly toward his car, Reuters reported.

The plane departed without further incident.

The photographer and the agency that released the pictures wanted to make it seem like they were members of a lost tribe in order to call attention to the dangers the logging industry may have on the group.

The photographer recently came clean, and news outlets, perhaps embarrassed at having been taken for a ride, have been slow to pick up the story. Now, the word is starting to spread and articles in the Buzz are picking up steam. Expect a lot more brutal truth in the coming days.
