Zimbio: According to a post on The Daily Kos, Sarah Palin’s five month-old son Trig may not actually be hers. The author speculates that the child, who was born with Down syndrome, may actually belong to Governor Palin’s seventeen year old daughter Bristol.
U.S. Senator and Republican presidential candidate John McCain (R) looks on with new vice presidential candidate Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as she stands with her daughters Piper (C) and Willow (L) August 29, 2008 in Dayton, Ohio. There are a few pieces of “evidence” upon which the author stakes his claim:
- No one knew about Sarah Palin’s pregnancy until March, a month and a half before Trig was born. The pregnancy reportedly came as a surprise to even Palin’s own staff.
- Palin appeared extremely thin for a pregnant woman until the very last month. She even appeared lithe and slender in Vogue about 4 months before Trig’s birth.
- Palin’s daughter Bristol supposedly stayed out of school for several months during the past school year, citing a case of mononeucleosis to explain her absence.
- Palin is against pro choice and would never alow an abortion.

Yahoo News: ST. PAUL (Reuters) – The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child
Bristol Palin, one of Alaska Gov. Palin’s five children with her husband, Todd, is about five months pregnant and is going to keep the child and marry the father, the Palins said in a statement released by the campaign of Republican presidential candidate John McCain.
Bristol Palin made the decision on her own to keep the baby, McCain aides said.
“We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us,” the Palins’ statement said.
“Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support,” the Palins said.
The Palins asked the news media to respect the young couple’s privacy.
“Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media, respect our daughter and Levi’s privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates,” the statement concluded.

Comment by Fargo September 1, 2008 @ 11:39 amIf the daughter is five month pregnant its impossible for palins Down syndrome kid to be her daughters
Comment by NANO September 1, 2008 @ 12:13 pmIt’s VERY convenient that Bristol Palin is JUST pregnant enough this go-around to rule her out as the mother of Trig. I smell something very fishy. I’m about 90% convinced that Bristol is Trig’s mother. Anyone else believe that Bristol is either going to conveniently deliver her current pregnancy later than Decemeber (if we believe she got pregnant a 2nd time after Trig’s births)or that she will “suffer” a miscarriage (if we believe that the current pregnancy is a sham to cover up Trig’s parenting switcheroo)? Something is just not right here folks!
Comment by WARREN September 1, 2008 @ 3:36 pmThat’s my guess. Bristol will “unfortunately” suffer a miscarriage. Levi (the alleged expecting father) will have a change of mind about marrying (or, alternatively, marry and shortly thereafter divorce) Bristol. This is unbelievable. This diversion is happening right before our eyes.
Comment by ED September 1, 2008 @ 3:55 pmShe didn’t evem support McCain in the primaries.

Comment by X Factor September 2, 2008 @ 6:27 amThis is BS! Its her kid! The proof is that the kid has downs syndrome. Women who give birth in their 40’s often have a downs syndrome kids.
Comment by Todd September 2, 2008 @ 9:24 amMaybe Bristol will give birth to a future presidential candidate. After all, Obama’s mother was 5 months pregnant with him before she married his father.
Comment by Nannt September 2, 2008 @ 10:59 amHAA! Good point. All these candidates are all bastards.
